According to one version of a legend that was already recorded in the Middle Ages, the scribe was a monk who broke his monastic vows and was sentenced to be walled up alive. In order to avoid his punishment he promised to write a book that would contain all the human knowledge! He also promised that the book would be written within 1 night. Being sure that he would not be able to succeed, he made a prayer. Not to God, but Lucifer the fallen angel. Lucifer who has all the knowledge of everything is believed to told him everything and even write the book himself.
The book contains Hebrew alphabets, other bibles and a possible image of Satan.
